volunteer help and contributions is detailed for several
of the projects.

The
Nehemiah Mission of Cleveland
Welcomes
missionaries from all places to come and stay for a day, a
weekend, or a week. Come to the city of Cleveland, meet her people, learn of
her struggles, celebrate her triumphs and help her needy.
There are many opportunities to help!

Lay
Speaking Ministry
Local
Lay Speakers serve in and through their local churches. To
be recognized as local church lay speakers, they must be
recommended by their pastor and Church Council or Charge
Conference, and complete the basic course for lay
speaking. Each year they must reapply, reporting how they
have served and continued to learn during that year.

Our mission is to encourage the joy of generous giving in
congregations and individuals. |

Child Care Centers

Hot Meal
Programs & Food Pantries
A
list of local UMCs that provide community meals for
those in need at various times during the month throughout
the District. Also listed are churches conducting
"Food Pantry" programs that collect
non-perishable food items in conjunction with area
organizations.
